It is with deep regret and sorrow that AMATYC announces the death of Wanda Garner, Executive Director. She has been active in the organization for many years serving as a Vice President, President, and Program Chair before becoming the AMATYC Executive Director. She has impacted the lives of many AMATYC members during her lifetime and many students at Cabrillo College in California where she served as Dean.
The picture of Wanda below with past president Phil Mahler and current AMATYC president Jane Tanner was taken last November in Denver when Wanda received the Herb Gross Presidential Award for outstanding contributions to AMATYC. Wanda’s leadership within AMATYC will not be forgotten.
